The Nightmare Before Christmas
This was the first stop motion animation movie by Tim Burton that I saw in the movie theatre. Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King of Halloween town. Even though they have just finished a successful Halloween night Jack is feeling melancholy and bored with Halloween. He takes a walk and accidently stumbles into Christmas town via a door in a tree. Elated with what he has seen in Christmas town, he returns home to tell everyone about what he has seen and begins experimenting to try and figure out what the Christmas magic is all about.
Everything gets out of control as the town’s people begin preparing for a Halloween version of Christmas. Jack loses control of the situation, bows to peer pressure, and lets the towns people take off on a completely wrong tangent. Sally, who is secretly in love with Jack, is the only sane one who tries to stop it from getting out of control. Sally, together with Santa Claus, saves Christmas.
